Feb 2021
Prior to meeting Sian I was off 21 and in 12 months I have come down 7 shots. Sian has helped me with every part of my swing to make it more consistent and to build up my overall swing speed.
She has helped me feel the club come down on a better plane as I would often get the club stuck behind me and push the ball to the right.
During the lockdowns, CoachNow has been a great help as I can send videos of my swing to Sian and she will send a voice recording back over the video detailing issues and how to fix them.
I really enjoy having Sian as my coach.
Feb 2021
Sian has been my coach for coming up to 3 years and since having her as my coach I feel that my short game and course management has improved massively.
I have also learnt how to look at shots differently on the course, for example depending on how the lie is may affect my club choice and therefore the type of shot.
Thank you!
When I first started having lessons from Sian, my handicap was 16. I struggled with distance, especially off the tee, as my common shot shape was a big slice. 6 months later after 6 lessons, I was playing off 11 and had gained some distance through reducing my slice (it is a slight fade now which I like!). Sian is very approachable and is always interested in my performances which is nice. Her way of teaching golf is clear and very simple, giving easy to understand explanations alongside practical drills, which makes my practice easier.
Sian taught me about course management and how to play to my strengths; use my handicap on the difficult holes, and stay out of trouble. Since taking up lessons with Sian, I have won 2 consecutive summer leagues, 2013 and 2014, also the Presidents Club Cup and The Machynys Mixed Open. I have also enjoyed representing the club in the Dyfed league.

Final Qualifying for Ricoh Women’s British Open
Who will win the 2015 British Open?!
PGA OOM3 Event – Cumberwell Park
Tuesday & Wednesday this week saw a return to some competitive golf for me after a busy few weeks of teaching. For my first round, I had a great experience playing alongside Scott Drummond, European Tour player. Very nice man who struck the ball extremely well, but unfortunately didn’t have his best day on the greens.
During the first round, I hit the ball very nicely and putted well. Despite 3 very bad tee shots which cost me on those 3 holes, I managed to score well otherwise. Unfortunately my putting didn’t continue into my second round and finished with 78, 80. Improvements to be made off the tee, but I enjoyed my tournament back.
WPGA 1 day – Salisbury & South Wilts
A day of lovely sunshine, but unfortunately the golf didn’t shine all day. My ball striking was much improved following a lesson of my own last week, but still some work needed with the short game & putter.
WPGA 1 Series, Little Aston
Enjoyed playing at Little Aston GC today. +6, not the score I was looking for, but some positives to take away from the day. Work needed on the putting!
MoonWalk for Breast Cancer

Amy Boulden Clinic A Great Success
Carmarthen GC was the venue for Amy Boulden’s golf clinic on Sunday. Thanks to Golf Development Wales & sponsors Principality, girls from all over the county were encouraged to come with friends to watch and ask questions. All then participated in games and tuition stations. It was a great success and was great to see girls being encouraged into the game. For more information on getting started with golf contact me.
PGA Event – Dawlish Warren GC
Lovely sunny day today for the PGA Assistants & U30s event at Dawlish Warren. Score of 76 left me pretty much middle of the field with a few areas to improve on!
Masters Weekend
Thank you Wilson Staff
New Wilson clubs & bag all arrived…first ever tour bag too. Looking forward to using them now!
